The harbourmaster's building

New, two-storey building

The new harbourmaster's building was built in 2003. It consists of two storeys. The upper floor, from which the entire port is controlled, houses the new offices, a small reception area and the office of the Port's Harbourmaster. The premises, very light thanks to the generous glazing, is endowed with the necessary technical innovations to provide IT and a personal service for members, non-members, the public and traders. In the outside area, a small terrace permits a direct view of the jetties, thus allowing better surveillance.

The ground floor of the building houses the new services. Eight showers in the men's section and four in the women's. The greater number in the male area is in conformity with statistics registered. Both areas have the necessary changing rooms to achieve greater privacy.

Finally, the ground floor also has a laundry, with overlapping, coin-operated driers and washing machines. The machines are the latest generation and permit great savings of water and energy. And moreover they are ultra-fast.
